Milestone Business Solutions is seeking a remote Payroll Specialist to collaborate with our internal team and small-business clients.

In Short

• Administer weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for various clients.
• Accurately process client payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
• Oversee processing of payroll changes such as new hires and terminations.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare payroll reports.
• Resolve payroll-related issues and answer client questions.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll systems used by clients.
• 4+ years of direct payroll experience required.
• Experience with multi-state clients is preferred.
• Certifications like CPP or FPC are a plus.
• Flexible work environment with occasional travel to Indianapolis.

Requirements

• 4+ years of direct, hands-on payroll experience.
• Experience with multi-state companies/clients.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll compliance.
• Excellent time management and adherence to deadlines.
• Experience with payroll systems like Gusto, Paylocity, ADP, etc.
• Certifications like CPP or FPC preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
