Overview

The Central Intake Coordinator is responsible for managing patient referrals, ensuring service eligibility, and coordinating care while maintaining communication with providers and families.

In Short

  • Handles daily patient referrals and intake operations.
  • Enters demographic and insurance information for new customers.
  • Completes registration of clients into the home care management program.
  • Communicates with relevant parties for authorization of home health services.
  • Verifies eligibility of members and member benefit coverage.
  • Requires knowledge of state Medicaid plans and private insurance.
  • Supports the mission and goals of the company.
  • Adheres to HIPAA confidentiality rules.
  • Reports discrepancies to clinical services and management.
  • Must have insurance experience and strong customer service skills.

Requirements

  • High School Education; Associates Degree preferred.
  • Must have insurance experience.
  • Home health experience preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 1+ year experience in a clinical environment preferred.
  • Proficient in standard computer programs for data entry.
