Accounting & Billing Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Specialist with a concentration in billing, is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of sales orders and invoices, including terms, pricing, and all contractual details. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective time-management skills, and the ability to communicate professionally with employees, clients, and vendors.

In Short

• Supports the process of initiating and revising quotes, purchase orders, and invoices for maintenance renewals.
• Provides regular updates to customers, vendors, and resellers on relevant information and proactively manage contract renewal timelines.
• Implements annual price increases per contractual terms.
• Processes reconciliations from vendors bills to validate the data billable to our customers.
• Maintains data integrity records in accounting system.
• Researches any discrepancies with quotes or billing information received.
• Troubleshoots as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
• Conducts collections activities and maintains communication with maintenance renewal customers to ensure timely payments.
• Assists with streamlining and automating processes while improving internal controls.
• Assists in other accounting department duties.

Requirements

• Fundamental knowledge of accounting and 2 or more years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Detail oriented, accurate, competent with calculations, dependable and efficient.
