Senior Risk Strategist - Remote

To enable this stellar banking experience, we need to have a deep understanding of our customers and how they interact with our product. We are looking to hire a strategist to bring risk expertise and an analytical approach to our Risk Strategy team, driving impact in this crucial space.

In Short

• Utilize data and quantitative analysis to develop strategy for managing risk.
• Lead cross-functional efforts across Ops, Product, Eng, and Data Science.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Develop domain expertise and optimize processes.
• Represent Mercury’s risk appetite in collaborations.
• 6+ years of experience in an analytical role.
• Experience with customer risk scoring and fraud controls.
• Strong SQL skills for business performance improvement.
• Confidence in decision-making in fast-paced environments.
• Desire to build programs and collaborate for results.

• 6+ years of experience in an analytical role, including 3+ years in risk or fintech.
• Experience with risk scoring/modeling and process optimization.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Ability to make decisions using data and intuition.
• Desire to build programs from the ground up.
