Community Manager - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a startup-obsessed Community Manager to lead and engage with communities that matter to our founder and builder audiences, starting with Reddit and our own Mercury-owned spaces. You’ll be on the front line of authentic interaction in founder circles and other entrepreneurial communities, representing Mercury where the conversations are already happening and helping us deepen connection and sentiment across multiple platforms.

In Short

• Lead engagement on Reddit and other external community platforms.
• Manage and grow Mercury’s owned Slack communities.
• Collaborate with the Growth Marketing team.
• Monitor conversations around business banking, startups, and Mercury.
• Build trust in Mercury’s voice.
• Be proactive in community engagement.
• Analyze community insights for actionable feedback.
• Thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
• Have experience with content or communications.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the fintech ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proven experience building or moderating online communities.
• Fluency in internet culture and niche forums.
• Deep understanding of founder needs and motivations.
• Strong communication skills prioritizing authentic engagement.
• Experience collaborating across social and growth teams.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
• Sharp copy instincts with a strong sense of brand voice.
• Experience contributing to content or communications.
