Education Content Developer (Japanese Speaker) - Remote

Overview

Mercor is seeking native Japanese speakers who are also education professionals based in Japan. This role combines your teaching and education expertise across a wide variety of different subjects with language mastery, helping train cutting-edge AI models in the education domain.

In Short

• Translate and adapt educational content reflecting Japanese curriculum standards.
• Write fluently in Japanese and English with precise education terminology.
• Provide cultural insights into the Japanese education system.
• Collaborate with peers to refine content and validate accuracy.
• This is a remote and asynchronous role — work on your own schedule.
• Commit to at least 20 hours per week for around 2 months.
• Work in a structured project environment with clear goals.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Japanese and strong English skills.
• Advanced degree in Teaching, Pedagogy, or a related field.
• 2–6+ years of teaching experience in Japan.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with rubric development is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI models or machine learning is a bonus.
