Medical Content Developer - Japanese Speaker - Remote

Overview

Mercor is seeking native Japanese speakers who are also medical professionals based in Japan. This role combines your clinical expertise with language mastery, helping train cutting-edge AI models in the healthcare domain.

In Short

• Translate, adapt, and synthesize complex medical concepts for AI training.
• Write fluently in both Japanese and English.
• Provide cultural and medical insights specific to Japanese healthcare.
• Collaborate with reviewers and peers to refine content.
• Work remotely and asynchronously on a flexible schedule.
• Contribute at least 20 hours per week for around 2 months.
• Engage in a structured project environment with clear goals.
• Complete an AI-led interview to assess language and professional experience.
• Participate in a paid work trial to determine suitability.
• Receive feedback and onboarding after selection.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Japanese and strong written/spoken English.
• Advanced degree (MD or PhD in related healthcare field).
• 2–6+ years of medical practice or healthcare-related experience.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in medical writing or instructional design is a plus.
• Familiarity with generative AI models or machine learning concepts is a bonus.
