Overview

The Claims Manager is responsible for managing a team of claims professionals handling auto insurance claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing leadership within the department.

In Short

  • Review claims for compliance and best practices.
  • Educate staff on industry trends and changes.
  • Participate in training and development.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in claims management.
  • Active property and casualty adjuster license.
  • In-depth knowledge of auto insurance policies.
  • Leadership and coaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s preferred.
  • Insurance certifications preferred (CPCU, AIC, SCLA).
  • Experience in multi-jurisdictional claims preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with claims management systems.
