Store Detective Intern - Remote

Overview

As a Store Detective Intern, you will ensure a safe and secure environment for customers and team members while investigating theft activities and enhancing safety practices within the store.

• Ensure a safe environment for customers and team members.
• Investigate internal and external theft, including Organized Retail Crime (ORC).
• Conduct inspections of the store premises and backrooms.
• Review cashier exception and theft activity reports.
• Engage in surveillance for shoplifting incidents.
• Document incidents and maintain accurate records.
• Testify in court regarding theft cases as necessary.
• Report safety hazards to store leadership.
• Participate in the apprehension of violators.
• Adhere to safety practices and policies.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or 1 year of work experience.
• Strong observational skills.
• Ability to document incidents accurately.
• Knowledge of safety principles and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills.
