Head of Firmware and System Engineering - Remote

Our mission is to accelerate clean transportation through innovation in power electronics, battery systems, vehicle control, and connectivity. We're looking for a dynamic leader to oversee our Firmware and System Engineering functions as we expand our product portfolio.

In Short

• Lead the development of high-reliability embedded firmware and system architectures for EV solutions.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams working on motor control, battery management, telematics, and safety-critical systems.
• Drive technology innovation in areas such as motor control, BMS, and telematics.
• Oversee development of embedded firmware for EV sub-systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams across firmware and systems engineering disciplines.
• Act as the technical interface between software, hardware, mechanical, QA, and manufacturing teams.
• Manage project planning and technical risk assessments across multiple EV programs.
• Track and report engineering KPIs, including quality and defect resolution.
• Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in automotive-grade firmware development and system design.
• Deep knowledge of microcontroller-based system design and real-time embedded firmware.
• Hands-on experience with EV sub-systems and functional safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
