Health and Safety Support Officer - Remote

Overview

WCS Group is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Support Officer to assist in implementing and updating the organization’s health and safety management system, primarily covering the Midlands and South East regions.

In Short

• Support the Health and Safety Manager.
• Conduct and review risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Monitor workplace conditions through site inspections.
• Participate in incident investigations and prepare reports.
• Assist in planning and delivering H&S training sessions.
• Advise staff on H&S queries according to legislation.
• Support H&S reporting and data collation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role.
• Understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Full Manual Driving Licence.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate is essential.
• Desirable certifications: Fire Safety, Manual Handling, First Aid.
