Finance Operations Lead - Remote

Overview

This is your chance to make an impact at Marktplaats and 2dehands! In this new role you will be responsible for the accounting, controlling and finance operations of Adevinta Benelux.

In Short

• Lead Controlling, Accounting and Financial Operations for the entity.
• Oversee the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial Group / IFRS closings, supported by your team and initially supported by Central functions.
• Revenue controlling and accounting.
• Trial Balance review and flux analysis.
• Coordinate Allocations and cross-charges.
• Project accounting.
• Payroll coordination and expense report coordination.
• Review balance sheet risks & opportunities with the CFO on a regular cadence.
• Partner with the business units to ensure proper financial controls are implemented.
• Cash flow forecasting, working closely together with the FP&A team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in the areas of Controlling or Finance & Accounting.
• More than 10 years of experience in accounting or controlling roles in mid-large sized companies.
• At least 5 years of experience having fully led Controlling for your organizational entity.
• Knowledge of NL GAAP and IFRS and experience supporting statutory audits.
• Experience in setting up and/or updating end-to-end finance processes within an ERP landscape.
• Highly experienced in leading teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with accounting software (SAP S4 HANA or similar) and solid Excel skills.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Current resident of the Netherlands and legally able to work here.
