Mortgage Processor III - Remote

Overview

Seasoned processor with a strong analytical ability to assess conventional and government loan requests based on a thorough knowledge of product, underwriting, and investor guidelines. Serve as the communication liaison between the customer and M&T’s Mortgage department.

• Maintain effective and professional communication with all necessary parties involved in a new loan application.
• Work with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary processing documentation.
• Notify all necessary parties of irregularities relative to standard mortgage guidelines.
• Monitor and analyze credit reports, appraisals, and income documentation.
• Perform administrative duties supporting the origination department.
• Scrutinize loan applications to assess qualifications and recommend solutions.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Evaluate changes to borrower’s fee structure and recreate required regulatory documents.
• Work closely with both internal and external customers.
• Possess strong analytical and mathematical skills.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or two years equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years prior mortgage processing or underwriting experience.
• Good PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Email Platform, and Adobe.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided.
• Knowledge of product, investor, and compliance requirements.
• Versatility and flexibility in a fast-paced mortgage environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
