Overview

The Data Engineer plays a critical role in advancing enterprise-wide data initiatives and enabling self-service analytics. This position blends deep technical expertise with strong business engagement, focusing on the design and development of scalable data pipelines and the delivery of insights through modern BI tools.

In Short

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Serve as a key liaison between business units and the Data & Analytics CoE.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools.
  • Promote data literacy and self-service analytics.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business leaders.
  • Contribute to data architecture and modeling discussions.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data pipeline tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one BI tool.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages is an asset.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices is an asset.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices is an asset.
