LMI is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to be part of a team that is delivering comprehensive software testing support for the USPS Artificial Intelligence Virtual Assistant (AVIA) Program. All Test Engineer candidates must have strong communication skills, a passion for testing, and a desire to learn new technologies on high-profile projects. 

In Short

• Collaborate with USPS AIVA personnel to create and implement a tailored testing strategy.
• Develop test cases and testing scripts based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects and provide feedback to developers.
• Execute comprehensive testing, including manual and automated tests.
• Communicate testing results to stakeholders and suggest areas of improvement.
• Conduct user acceptance testing for AI components.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide input to front-end developers on delivering model outcomes.
• Coordinate testing approaches with developers and business teams.
• Ensure all features function as designed and intended.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience designing a test strategy for high-quality software delivery.
• Knowledge of manual and automated testing tools.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, Java, and relational databases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an agile team.
• Ability to obtain a USPS security clearance.
• Experience with user research and journey mapping.
• Experience with Selenium and Gherkin syntax preferred.
• Prior experience with Kubernetes, DialogFlow, and Google Cloud Computing Services is a plus.
