Senior Engineer Transmission Network (M/W/D) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for reinforcement for our locations in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Frankfurt (also partially remote).

In Short

• Focus on independent execution of tasks in transmission technology for engineering, planning, deployment, and operations.
• Involvement in planning, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting activities across various transmission systems.
• Responsible for planning from HLD, LLD to system specifications for successful renewal of customer networks.
• Coordinate and address customer inquiries/escalations in collaboration with your team and other stakeholders.
• Project coordination and documentation of respective processes are part of your daily routine.
• Develop innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

• Completed studies in (business) computer science, communications engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or a similar qualification.
• Expertise in various transmission technologies (e.g., WDM, SDH, Ethernet, Next Generation ASON).
• Basic knowledge of the functioning of management systems in transmission technology.
• Professional experience in transmission technology or related telecommunications technologies (fiber optics, FTTH, FTTB, IP) is ideal.
• Experience with IP (including IPv6) would also be advantageous.
• Good German and English skills, with a willingness to travel across Germany.
