Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for complex accounting tasks, contributing to monthly and annual financial statements, and optimizing financial processes while serving as a key contact for internal departments and auditors.

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB for multiple entities.
• Responsibility for complex accounting transactions such as provisions, accruals, and fixed asset accounting.
• Analysis and commentary on business figures and variances.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements in accounting and tax law.
• Collaboration on tax returns with tax consultants.
• Point of contact for auditors and tax authorities.
• Support in the development and automation of processes and tools.
• Mentoring and providing expertise to junior accountants.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training with further education as an accountant or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance.
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, preferably in a similar position.
• Very good knowledge of HGB, knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
• Proficient in common accounting software (DATEV, MS Dynamics) and MS Excel.
• Analytical thinking, strong affinity for numbers, and a structured, independent working style.
• Team player, strong communication skills, and high self-motivation.
