Overview

The Director of Human Resources oversees all human resources duties, company policies, budgets, and volunteer relations. This role includes reviewing and updating guidebooks frequently.

In Short

  • Work directly with the CEO to develop and manage the organization’s culture.
  • Implement and update workflows in the HR system.
  • Create and update volunteer requirements and descriptions.
  • Oversee recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Review annual evaluations of interns and volunteers.
  • Handle volunteer relations and conflict mediation.
  • Guide HR Assistant in policy preparation and updates.
  • Review budget with CFO regarding volunteer positions.
  • Ensure volunteers fulfill their roles and represent the organization’s mission.
  • Collaborate with Department Directors on disciplinary processes.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle confidential documentation.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Professional in Human Resources Management certification preferred.
  • Willingness to work odd hours as needed.
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • Background check may be required.
