Lightning Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)

Overview

We are looking for a systems-oriented engineer to design and build key components that will support the growth of the Lightning Network, making Bitcoin usage cheap, fast, and simple for everyone.

In Short

• Write advanced software tooling for automated channel management.
• Implement algorithms for ongoing capital management and optimization.
• Design and maintain monitoring and alert infrastructure for routing nodes.
• Develop metrics to analyze the health of the network.
• Build systems to help nodes/users manage liquidity on the Lightning Network.
• Experience with secure, scalable, highly-available systems.
• Develop and support publicly available APIs.
• Familiarity with open source projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Bitcoin and applied cryptography.
• Understanding of the Lightning Network protocol preferred.

Requirements

• Strong passion for Bitcoin.
• Experience in systems programming languages such as Go, C, or C++.
• Security and adversarially-oriented mindset.
• Experience building and operating secure systems.
• Ability to design and maintain monitoring infrastructure.
• Experience in developing metrics for network health analysis.
• Knowledge of liquidity management in the Lightning Network.
• Familiarity with contributing to open source projects.
• Understanding of APIs and their development.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
