System Administrator - Remote

Overview

LightFeather is seeking a System Administrator to support a federal client in managing secure, high-performance IT infrastructure. The System Administrator will be responsible for server and network administration, database maintenance, system security, and operational continuity. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and strong collaboration skills to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient systems that meet mission needs.

• Remote position with preference for Silver Spring, MD area candidates.
• Full-Time role.
• Responsible for server and network administration.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in system administration for Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, IIS, and SQL Server.
• Experience in network monitoring, backup/recovery processes, and encryption technologies.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues in production environments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
