Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Remote

Overview

Liferaft is looking for a highly skilled and visionary Full-Stack Engineer to play a critical role in building on the already sophisticated open source data collection capabilities we have. This role will be hybrid in Halifax, NS, or fully remote within Canada and must sit in either the Eastern, or Atlantic time zones.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services that integrate with a wide range of third-party APIs.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and database architectures using MySQL and Elasticsearch.
• Build and maintain event-driven systems using technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Contribute to front-end development efforts using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Work closely with product, data, and design teams to translate requirements into features.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies to improve platform scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to shape the technical direction of the OSINT platform.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Full-Stack development.
• Proficiency in backend technologies and data integration.
• Experience with MySQL and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay current with emerging technologies.
