Senior Security Operations Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Lead and coordinate threat detection & incident response efforts.
• Develop and maintain detection engineering content across SIEM, XDR, and cloud-native logging systems.
• Triage and manage alerts from cloud security posture management.
• Oversee and enhance logging pipelines and threat detection coverage.
• Implement and optimize log management and security automation.
• Build and maintain automation workflows for alert triage.
• Partner with engineering teams for security visibility integration.
• Participate in the security on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with a purple team mindset for improved detection coverage.
• Continuously evaluate and improve threat detection coverage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
• Strong experience in AWS environments.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and cloud security monitoring tools.
• Hands-on scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management platforms.
• Understanding of common security threats and defenses.
• Familiarity with modern application stacks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering teams.
• Problem-solver mindset for risk reduction.
• Relevant security certifications are a plus.
