Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

Life360 is seeking a highly motivated individual with a combination of technical and operational accounting skills to join the team as an Accounting Manager in our Accounting Operation group. The success of this role will largely be dependent on the ability to lead their team, manage and collaborate with partners across various locations while ensuring month-end close activities are completed timely and accurately in accordance with accounting and reporting requirements.

In Short

• Provide direction, oversight, communication, performance management, coaching, and development to staff in sync with company's growth.
• Lead monthly financial close activities and accounting staff through month-end and operational tasks.
• Review monthly journal entries and reconciliations for all areas except for Revenue and contra revenue.
• Responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of account reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements and optimize efficiencies in accounting and reporting areas.
• Work with cross functional teams to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Provide GAAP guidance to team and conduct accounting research as needed.
• Lead on company’s annual audit and support regular and ad-hoc reporting.
• Collaborate with special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience ideally in software and/or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in NetSuite preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks.
• Solid analytical skills for resolving accounting process issues.
• Strong background in accounting or finance and internal control evaluation.
