Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the property accounting for multiple properties, ensuring accurate financial execution and collaboration with property and regional managers.

In Short

• Analyze and review financial information and reconcile bank accounts.
• Drive month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls and policies.
• Prepare documentation for financial audits.
• Collaborate with property managers for pre-close activities.
• Responsible for recruiting and associate development.
• Follow up with clients regarding property profitability.
• Ensure all financial deadlines are met.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA license preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• 3-5 years of property management experience preferred.
• Direct management experience required.
• Experience with AppFolio and Entrata is a plus.
• Knowledge of GAAP in multi-family property management preferred.
