Senior Back End Engineer - Platform - Remote

Our software has been used to help the fight against continuing criminal enterprises, drug trafficking organizations, identifying financial fraud, disrupting sex and human trafficking rings and focusing on mental health matters to name a few.

In Short

• Responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining mission-critical backend services.
• Part of the Core Application team creating new solutions as the product grows.
• Participate in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle.
• Strong engineering background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
• At least 6+ years of back-end development experience.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Elixir, Java, C++, Go.
• Experience with AWS Serverless workflows like Lambdas, Step-Functions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Good understanding of system design and running server-less workloads at scale.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and KV stores.
• Skill in decision-making with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD using AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions.
• Ability to learn continuously and adapt to new challenges.
