Overview

The Legionaries of Christ are seeking a mission-driven and results-oriented Development Officer to join our team at The Legionaries of Christ Novitiate & College of Humanities in Cheshire, Connecticut. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to support vocations to the priesthood by cultivating meaningful relationships with benefactors who share in our Catholic mission.

In Short

• Develop and manage a portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Secure financial support for various giving initiatives.
• Share the mission and impact of the organization through storytelling.
• Guide benefactors on their spiritual journey.
• Represent the college at events and fundraisers.
• Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to fundraising.
• Maintain accurate records in the donor database.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of successful fundraising experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Technologically proficient (MS Office, Excel required).
• Practicing Roman Catholic (required).
