Overview

Lean Tech is seeking a proactive Well Abandonment Engineer to plan and oversee wells' safe, compliant abandonment, ensuring regulatory adherence, developing procedures, and minimizing environmental impact through collaboration with teams and stakeholders.

• Plan, design, and oversee the abandonment of oil, gas, or water wells.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and develop abandonment procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Associate’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in well abandonment or related operations.
• Understanding of well integrity and cementing techniques.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and environmental standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., WellCat, Landmark).
• Well control certification and H2S safety training preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to travel to the operator’s office twice per year.
