Human Resources Division Manager - Remote

Overview

The Human Resources Division Manager is responsible for leading the operational, tactical, and compliance-focused functions of the HR department for EMS and its affiliated companies. The HR Manager ensures that all personnel policies are implemented consistently, human capital processes are effective and timely, and employment practices align with organizational goals, budget, and federal/state labor laws.

In Short

• Supervise HR team members, including generalists, talent acquisition staff, onboarding specialists, and file clerks.
• Coordinate and enforce consistent use of HR policies and SOPs across all entities served.
• Lead implementation and monitoring of systems including onboarding checklists and personnel file audits.
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations and regulatory agencies.
• Provide coaching and support to directors, managers, and supervisors on HR best practices.
• Maintain and ensure timely updates to the employee handbook and HR documents.
• Oversee and maintain digital personnel files and internal audit readiness.
• Serve as primary contact for internal escalations and external HR-related inquiries.
• Lead regular HR department meetings and provide reporting to the executive team.
• Be a “doer,” not just a “delegator.”

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required).
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge of HR principles, labor law, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, supervision, and delegation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with HRIS and document management systems.
• Ability to pass background and reference checks.
