Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Security - Remote

Overview

LayerX is seeking an experienced software engineer to join one of our core product engineering teams. The role involves software design and development of complex security capabilities end to end on endpoints, mostly backend components, and being a strong owner of a complicated cloud-native microservice architecture that protects millions of different web browsers across dozens of enterprise customers.

In Short

• Design and develop complicated security capabilities end to end on the endpoint.
• Take ownership of a mission-critical production system that safeguards millions of web browsers globally.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and peer reviews.
• Deep dive into web and browser security.
• Work closely with account managers to maximize customer value.
• Release code several times per day with advanced release management.
• Be part of a growing team tackling engineering and security challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience developing cloud-native microservices.
• Experience with cloud vendors: AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD and GitOps.
• Ability to debug and optimize complex systems.
• Experience translating customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.
• Experience in a scrum team and agile environment.
• Self-driven, proactive, and resourceful.

Benefits

• Proficient in Node.js, Typescript or React is beneficial.
• B.Sc in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
