Senior Websphere/Portal Java Developer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Websphere/Portal Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new HCL Portal Themes and Skins, as well as migrating existing portlets to the latest frameworks.

In Short

• Review and understand existing IBM portal Themes and Skins
• Design, develop, and test new HCL Portal Themes and Skins
• Migrate IBM JSF1.X portlets to MyFaces
• Integrate new MyFaces with new HCL Portal Themes and Skins
• Research and document the latest version of the Struts framework
• Develop a Proof of concept for migrating Struts applications
• Deploy applications to HCL Portal Server 9.5 and WebSphere Application Server 9.x
• 8-10 years of experience in enterprise software development
• Strong technical design and problem-solving skills
• US Citizenship and ability to get US Public Trust Clearance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Portal Developer
• Experience with JSF, MyFaces, and Struts
• Knowledge of HCL Portal Server and IBM WebSphere
• Excellent knowledge of Hibernate and Spring Framework
• Proficiency in JavaScript and frameworks like Dojo and JQuery
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and Ajax
• SQL development experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management
