Logistics Operations and Customer Support Specialist - Remote

Overview

The individual in the operations, customer & office support role is a trusted, central point of contact for our carriers and customers, supporting day-to-day operations to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of freight.

In Short

• Schedule and manage pickup and deliveries of shipments.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers.
• Set up customs clearances with Canadian/US customs brokers.
• Maintain customer profiles and enter shipments into McLeod software.
• Solicit freight quotations for Spot and Contract markets.
• Coordinate daily carrier activities with customers and operations team.
• Adhere to established operating procedures while seeking improvements.
• Assist drivers with Macropoint tracking application setup.
• Collect Proof of Delivery (PODs) for timely invoicing.

Requirements

• Experience utilizing TMS Software is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat to edit PDF files is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
