Overview

The Tactical Data Links (TDL) Australian System Engineer is a critical member of L3Harris Data Link Business, providing front line integration, maintenance, engineering support and training to our Australian customers using L3Harris’s Link-16 terminals and toolsets.

In Short

• Provide integration, maintenance, and engineering support for Tactical Data Links.
• Work independently as a remote resource and collaboratively within a global team.
• Background in Military Communications (C4I) is essential.
• Experience with Tactical Data equipment and Aircraft Avionics.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is required.
• Understanding of Link 16 Host systems and military operations.
• Strong analytical and computer skills necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or equivalent experience required.
• Active Military Clearance or equivalent is a must.
• Ability to travel for domestic tasks in Australia.

Requirements

• Experience with MIDS-LVT, MIDS-JTRS and Small Form Factor Link 16 radios.
• COMSEC / High Assurance Crypto Equipment (HACE) experience.
• Understanding of military radio software reprogramming.
• Self-motivated with ability to analyze system-level test data.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information.
