Modernization and Capabilities Developer - Remote

Overview

The Modernization and Capabilities Developer will support the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) G-5 Directorate by identifying, assessing, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance Marine Corps installations.

In Short

• Identify and assess new technologies, processes, and capabilities that can enhance Marine Corps installations.
• Collaborate with Marine Corps Warfighting Lab, Marine Corps Systems Command, DoD agencies, and private industry to integrate innovative solutions.
• Assist in developing policies, procedures, and interim guidance for new capabilities as they are transitioned into operations.
• Support the execution of Installation Next (I-neXt) and Force Design (FD) initiatives.
• Develop and refine strategic plans, operational orders (PLANORDs/OPORDs), and Letters of Instruction (LOIs) for modernization programs.
• Facilitate engagement with MCICOM leadership, regional staffs, research institutions, and military stakeholders.
• Provide conference planning and meeting support, including agenda development, logistics coordination, and post-event reporting.
• Conduct reviews and propose updates to applicable orders, directives, and policies governing installation modernization.
• Strong understanding of Marine Corps and DoD modernization initiatives.
• Ability to analyze and recommend innovative solutions to enhance Marine Corps installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree Required
• Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Experience: Minimum 4-10 years (Journeyman) or 10+ years (Senior) of experience in capabilities development, modernization planning, or military infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a classified environment and travel as needed.
