Military Exercise Planner (Journeyman) - Remote

Overview

The Military Exercise Planner (Journeyman) will support the Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) G-5 Directorate by coordinating, developing, and executing strategic, operational, and contingency plans related to exercises and force deployments.

In Short

• Plan, organize, and execute exercises in support of Combatant Commanders and Joint Forces Headquarters.
• Coordinate logistics, resources, and personnel for training exercises and deployments.
• Develop and refine exercise planning documentation.
• Assist in the planning of National Special Security Events.
• Capture MCICOM requirements during Force Synchronization Conferences.
• Conduct reviews and recommend updates to exercise-related policies.
• Organize and facilitate pre-event planning and post-event activities.
• Ensure compliance with Global Force Management requirements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree Required.
• Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain).
• 4-10 years of experience in exercise planning or related military operations.
• Prior experience with military planning processes preferred.
• Knowledge of DoD and Marine Corps planning directives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and planning tools.
• Prior military experience or experience supporting DoD contracts is a plus.
