Piping Stress and Layout Engineer - Remote

Overview

You are our all-round genius who understands our technology and that of our customers. You analyze the customer system, plan, and design piping and duct systems that connect to our high-performance storage system.

In Short

• Planning, calculation, and construction of pipelines and ducts for high-temperature applications
• Creation and optimization of piping layouts and detailed designs considering assembly aspects, technical guidelines, and process requirements based on P&ID and PFD
• Conducting static stress analyses for various load cases using CAESAR II and interpreting the analysis results
• Creating detailed technical drawings, including isometric drawings, 2D section drawings, and standard drawings for pipe supports
• Supporting project management in pipeline and plant planning
• Ensuring compliance with relevant American and European standards such as ASME B31.3, EN 13480-3, and PED
• Contributing to the modularization of systems to improve scalability and efficiency
• Assisting in the packaging of components for optimized assembly and transportability
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and reports

Requirements

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering, plant engineering, or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of experience in pipeline planning and construction
• Solid knowledge in piping layout design and stress analyses
• Experience with critical media such as steam, pressure gases, and oil systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and stress analysis software like CAESAR II
• Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ASME B31.3, EN 13480-3, PED)
• Independent working style with team spirit
• Goal-oriented, analytical thinking, and structured working style
• Very good German and English skills
