Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

Overview

This is a full-time remote position for a Senior Backend Engineer at Klar, a fintech startup based in Mexico, aimed at improving financial services accessibility in Mexico.

In Short

• Work on the entire lifecycle of the Klar card.
• Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code primarily in Java 21+.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Requirements

• 5+ years in architecture, design, and deployment of critical systems.
• Experience with Java, SpringBoot, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of microservice architectures.
• Knowledge of database transactions and locking mechanisms.
• Ability to simplify complex problems with innovative solutions.
