Corporate Controller, Finance - Remote

Overview

Kincell is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Controller who will be a key contributor to a dynamic and collaborative Finance team. The Corporate Controller is responsible for the organization's financial reporting, including expenditures, cash flow, profit and loss, and detailed site performance, to the executive team.

In Short

• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
• Lead and manage all aspects of accounting, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team.
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and tools.
• Develop and implement process improvements and best practices.
• Provide training and support to staff across departments on financial procedures.
• Travel to our sites in Gainesville, FL and Raleigh-Durham, NC may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
