Workup and Settlement Attorney - Remote

Overview

Keller Postman seeks a diligent, detail-oriented, and collaborative Workup and Settlement Attorney to lead a pod of Case Managers working on cases eligible for settlements in a large consolidated mass tort.

In Short

• Lead a pod of Case Managers on settlement-eligible cases.
• Manage client interactions during the settlement offer process.
• Coordinate with team members for efficient casework.
• Serve as the on-call attorney in an elevation rotation.
• Communicate with clients, outside counsel, and experts.
• Contribute to process improvements for settlement efficiency.
• Requires openness to unconventional legal work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat is essential.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
• Must maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Three to five years of experience in a high volume PI or Plaintiff’s firm.
• Current member of the Illinois Bar in good standing.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical records and terminology is beneficial.
