Design Engineer - Remote

This is a primarily remote position and is open to remote applicants. In Short

• The Design Engineer will play a critical role in the successful execution of development programs.
• Work with the Director of Engineering and external collaborators.
• Conceptualize new product ideas using CAD software.
• Fabricate prototypes for testing and troubleshoot potential problems.
• Collaborate with external consultants and CROs.
• Apply DFM principles to support device transfer to production.
• Support internal and regulatory inspections.
• Work in a deadline-focused remote environment.
• Foster a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
• Make a tangible impact on the lives of patients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
• Strong engineering design skills using SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with 3D modeling software and report writing programs.
• Excellent communication skills and technical writing capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with legal on contracts.
• Strong motivation and self-management skills.
• Commitment to an inclusive work environment.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 15%.
• Working knowledge of 21 CFR 820 and ISO 11608 series.
