JustAnswer’s Engineering team is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our application infrastructure. You’ll ensure system stability, security, and scalability while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role offers professional growth through retrospective learning from production incidents and exploring generative AI applications to enhance your work.

In Short

Manage applications on Microsoft Azure and Hyper-V.
Support Rocky 9 Linux and DNS servers.
Monitor performance with Dynatrace; manage SSL certificates.
Collaborate on app security and optimize performance.
Ensure uptime for production and enterprise environments.
Provide technical support and ensure compliance.
Implement DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, AI, and automation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
5-7 years in application engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Azure, Server, Hyper-V, and Rocky 9 Linux.
Experience with Dynatrace, DNS, and domain certificates.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routers, firewalls, and VLANs.
Skilled in automation (PowerShell, Bash) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with Microsoft DevOps.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Contribute to future application infrastructure strategy.
