Tax Associate - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our company. The Tax Associate will assist in preparing, processing, and filing tax returns for clients in the telecommunications industry. Our ideal candidate has strong math skills, knowledge of MS Excel, and an associate degree.

In Short

• Process online filings of tax returns and Electronic Data Interchange and Electronic Funds Transfers (EDI / EFT's).
• Preparing necessary forms for filing taxes.
• Provide recommendations to Tax team members on updating the filing compliance documents.
• Assist with tax notices.
• Assisting the Tax Team with special projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree (Preferred).
• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of data manipulation, e-filing, and return preparations.
• Understand the reconciliation process and reconcile sales tax returns to source data files.
• 0-2 years of experience in US Taxation.
• Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times.
• Proactively look at various scenarios to bring new process improvement opportunities and propose them to management.
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Portable Document Format (PDF) is a plus.
