Overview

The Unapplied Cash Analyst position at Sarah Cannon Research Institute is responsible for all cash application functions within the finance department, focusing on reviewing and reconciling unapplied cash while supporting operational areas.

In Short

  • Review and reconcile unapplied cash.
  • Work closely with sites to confirm visit activity.
  • Enter charges into the clinical trial management system (CTMS) as needed.
  • Apply receivables to Cash Receipts Log for all lines of business.
  • Post transactional line-item cash into proprietary systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of cash postings by verifying payment remittance details.
  • Review and interpret remittances from payers for data accuracy.
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve unidentified cash.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills required.
  • Clear communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1+ year work experience in basic financial operations.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Understanding of payment flows and matching payments to invoices.
  • Ability to interpret remittances and resolve discrepancies.
