Financial Aid Advisor - Remote

Overview

At Joyce University, we know financial aid can make all the difference for students — and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Financial Aid Advisor who’s passionate about helping students navigate the financial aid process and committed to providing clear, accurate guidance every step of the way.

In Short

• Advise students on financial aid applications, eligibility, and award options.
• Review, verify, and assess student files in line with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Determine aid packages based on established guidelines and individual circumstances.
• Provide personalized support through workshops, one-on-one advising, calls, emails, and online tools.
• Handle verification of selected FAFSA files, request documentation, submit corrections, and adjust awards as needed.
• Communicate financial aid processes clearly within the team, across departments, and with students and families.
• Review and process special circumstance requests with sound professional judgment.
• Represent the Financial Aid team at student events, orientations, and campus activities.
• Collaborate with other departments on student support initiatives.
• Assist leadership with department goals, projects, and student success strategies.

Requirements

• Required: Associate’s degree plus 3 years of customer service experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of financial aid experience in higher education.
