Overview

The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department by performing clerical duties related to financial record-keeping and ensuring accuracy in processing transactions. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with accounting principles, and the ability to maintain organized records.

In Short

  • Input financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Review and process incoming invoices for payment.
  • Assist in reconciling bank statements with financial records.
  • Provide clerical support in payroll processing.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and payable ledgers.

  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
