Overview

The Customer Service Bookkeeper will manage bookkeeping tasks for small business clients, ensuring accurate financial records and providing excellent client support.

In Short

• Accurately categorize transactions and reconcile accounts.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies with attention to detail.
• Conduct monthly financial reviews for clients.
• Serve as the main point of contact for small business clients.
• Provide empathetic and professional communication via chat, email, and phone.
• Build strong relationships by explaining financial information clearly.
• Take initiative to resolve client concerns proactively.
• Own the client experience from start to finish.
• Collaborate with internal teams using tools like Bench App and Salesforce.
• Must be based in Mexico and work North American business hours.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in bookkeeping, auditing, or tax preparation.
• 2+ years of customer-facing or client service experience.
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
