Plant Accountant - Remote

Overview

This position is for a Plant Accountant in the United States, responsible for managing and coordinating accounting operations within a manufacturing environment.

In Short

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month-end work papers.
• Analyze profit margins, manufacturing costs, and cost variances.
• Develop and enhance accounting systems and procedures.
• Generate detailed monthly reports on gross margin.
• Collect and study data to determine costs of raw materials, inventory, and labor.
• Assist with annual audits and prepare financial reports.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable.
