Remote Manager, Revenue Recognition and Accounting

Overview

This position is for a Remote Manager in Technical Accounting, focusing on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and supporting financial reporting processes.

In Short

• Lead implementation and analysis of revenue recognition policies in accordance with ASC 606.
• Ensure accurate contract review, revenue treatment, and financial reporting.
• Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing workpapers and reconciliations.
• Record monthly journal entries ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Support accurate quarterly SEC filings and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare technical accounting memos on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 principles.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP reporting standards.
• Experience in preparing SEC filings for publicly traded companies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with SOX compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
