Control Engineer 3 - Remote

Overview

This position is for a Control Engineer 3 who will design, develop, install, and maintain systems that monitor and control processes across various industries. The role requires collaboration with teams to produce design documents and lead programming efforts.

In Short

• Originate design documents for small projects and support large programs.
• Lead programming and configuration efforts for automation and SCADA applications.
• Author and execute testing and commissioning procedures.
• Perform troubleshooting on service calls and execute hardware/software upgrades.
• Conduct surveys and prepare cost estimates for projects.
• Assign tasks and manage entry-level engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

• Proficient in reading control schematics and performing system startup and calibration.
• Experience with electrical and machinist hand tools and testing/calibration equipment.
• Proficient in programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex automation issues.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAE software and basic office software.
