Defense Policy & Technology Consultant - Remote

Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking a talented Defense Policy & Technology Consultant with experience supporting the Department of Defense or the defense industrial base. This position will ideally work out of our Columbia, MD office. We are open to hybrid or remote for the right candidate. This position will work on a variety of projects providing engineering and programmatic support to our DoD clients in the forms of technical analysis, policy and guidance development, and project management.

• Provide exceptional client service by managing tasks and contributing to team efforts.
• Analyze and execute diverse instructions to ensure alignment with client objectives.
• Review and interpret technical materials ensuring compliance with standards.
• Synthesize and present complex information in clear reports and presentations.
• Develop creative solutions to practical problems in dynamic environments.
• Travel locally and for overnight trips as required.
• Stay current on industry trends to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience with government organizations or the defense industrial base.
• Interest in improved sustainment technology and corrosion prevention.
• Knowledge of defense acquisition and maintenance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent writing, presenting, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated writing sample.
• Desire to be part of the long-term growth of the team.
