Overview

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be a member of our growing Forensic Architecture and Engineering practice, providing technical and project management leadership in geotechnical investigations and projects.

In Short

• Investigate geotechnical and construction-related failures.
• Perform site examinations relating to loss/failure.
• Review plans and specifications for compliance.
• Prepare technical reports based on investigations.
• Communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage projects within client-approved scopes.
• Provide litigation support and expert witness services.
• Mentor junior staff on investigation assignments.
• Participate in business development activities.
• Collaborate with global professionals.

Requirements

• Masters or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering.
• PE and GE license in California.
• 10+ years of consulting or forensic engineering experience.
• Experience with shallow and deep foundations.
• Heavy commercial and civil infrastructure experience.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Flexibility for travel as required.
